Bontrager RSF

Born in May 2015, Bontrager is a tall, athletic gelding with tons of presence and balanced, high quality gaits. He has potential for both dressage, eventing and jumpers. Bontrager is registered GOV and received a premium designation at his inspection. He has been sold.

As you can see from his pedigree and video, Bontrager is bred to be a top class performer. He certainly has the conformation, movement, athletic ability and bold personality to excel in any discipline.

Bon Balou (Sire)

Bontrager is by Bon Balou, the 2006 elite Hanoverian stallion (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus x Landadel). From the Dreamscape Farm website, “Bon Balou was named the Jumper Champion at his 70 day stallion test at Silver Creek Farm in OK. He scored an impressive 125.04 (with a 5% deduction taken off) for 1st place. Bon Balou was also 3rd overall. Bon Balou was 8th in the dressage in a tightly bunched group. Just Rio (Dam)

Bontrager is out of our Holsteiner mare, Just Rio, who also has a very impressive lineup in her pedigree. She is by Cicero, who was sired by the legendary stallion Cor de la Bryere. Cicero is famous for producing athletes that have competed successfully in all disciplines. Just Rio’s dam was a royally bred TB who traced her lineage to Sea Biscuit and who produced numerous premium offspring. Rio has proven to be a top producer of premium foals with the majority of her inspected foals receiving a premium rating. Rio’s premium filly by Winterprinz was named the fourth highest inspected mare in Canada for the Oldenburg NA and she in turn produced the top foal for Canada in her first year of breeding.
