First Foal of 2019 ~ Orion RSF (Gaudi x Roemer)

Orion was born just before midnight during a Texas sized thunderstorm. Both Orion and Penny are doing well! Orion’s sire is Scot Tolman’s KWPN stallion Gaudi.
GAUDI is the first and only Totilas offspring standing in the USA. Imported in January 2018 by Shooting Star Farm, his dam is the elite preferent prestation mare Annabel, by De Niro. Bred by the Jansen family at Stable Joppe in The Netherlands, Gaudi has an exceptional pedigree. His dam also produced the KWPN licensed stallions Bretton Woods and Chagall D&R, and from these same dam line comes the licensed stallion Four Legends KS. Annabel leads the KWPN index for dressage mares. She has produced top sport and keuring horses.
Garland of Roses (Gold Luck) sold to Sierra Sinor-Goodman

Congratulations to Sierra on her purchase of Rose (Gold Luck). Rose is an excellent broodmare and is shown here with her filly Georgia RSF. Sierra plans on using Rose as a riding horse and broodmare. A perfect home for her!
2018 German Oldenburg Verband Inspection Tour

Once again, Rio Star Farm hosted approvals for the 2018 year. We presented 6 foals, 2 of which were presented with premium status. Thanks to Sebastian from the GOV and the volunteers that assisted with this years inspection.

Congratulations to Brad and Blaine on their purchase of Bontrager RSF (Bon Balou x Cicero). This is their second purchase of one of our foals, the first being Steel RSF (Sir Gregory x Fürstenreich). Both of these geldings are from our 2015 crop and were best buddies! May their friendship and rivalry continue!!
Saratoga Ronnie sold to 224 Thoroughbreds LLC

Saratoga Ronnie was sold to Mark Davenport of 224 Thoroughbreds LLC in March 2018. Mark was excited to get the highly sought after bloodlines of her sire, Lawyer Ron, for his Thoroughbred stallion Revolver. Ronnie has produced two GOV approved foals, one of which was produced by Rio Star Farm. Saharah RSF can be seen here!
